Chamber Coda

I am a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and interdisciplinary artist. This piece of work, “Chamber Coda,” was created exclusively from the stash of pills in my mother’s room after her last (and successful) overdose. The country is certainly in the midst of an opioid epidemic, but it is especially prevalent in marginalized communities.

The goal of this piece is to open discourse and knowledge-share on the reality of who the opioid epidemic is affecting. (Opioid overdoses, of course, bring the heart to a stop).
