We live in an age where we are insensitive to the suffering of others. The war in neighboring countries makes light of the sorrows of refugees leaving their countries because they are not something I experience. In my work, the protagonist appears perplexed by stepping on a giant gum, but the people in the surrounding buildings only watch from afar instead of trying to help her.

Sarang Kim is a student attending Cityhill Academy in the Republic of South Korea. Her current interest is taking photos using a DSLR. Since her favorite photographer is Tim Walker, she is learning the basic foundation of photography to develop her skills to be like him.
