that will kill
children indiscriminately
sever the limbs
of women or men
or crush the skulls
or spirits of anyone
for land or minerals
or petroleum
bought at a price
of bloody ditches
full of the dead and dying
along the highways
where tanker trucks
and pilgrims travel
side-by-side
with armies of the right
or wrong—that god
does not exist
there is no god
like that but if
there should be
give me no god
at all.
