It’s not your country
it’s just a line on a map
it’s just a map on paper
nothing like it on the land or sea
there’s not a country on Earth
just continents peaking through oceans.

You imagine countries
and you imagine God
which tells me you have
a capable imagination
which could easily envision
the world we could live in
when we are ready
to eat together.
